Online and software-based training aids have been a part of my own personal aviation training and career, and my recommendation to all of my students.
Learning to fly involves an incredible amount of information to be processed AND understood! Everyone learns differently and by utilizing many different forms of information presentation it allows you to absorb the information a lot easier.

Learning aviation theory is hard and there are so many subjects to learn. Using an online training syllabus in addition to your books is a great way to gradually progress through the massive amounts of material you need to learn to be able to pass your pilot certificates.
